Pay Range: $106,424.00 - $142,091.00
The Director of Commercial Workout will be responsible for overseeing the collection strategy for the commercial and Agricultural workout portfolio. Works closely with the commercial workout officers and provides the strategic focus to bring the workout loan to a satisfactory conclusion. Manages complex workout credits and takes responsibility for the workout strategy on accounts assigned to all workout officers in the department. Assesses and monitors internal controls to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Responsible for budget, legal expense and collection expense control for the workout department. Supervises the Loan Workout Manager, who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in a business related field (Finance, Accounting desired)Minimum of 10 years of commercial workout experience
Previous commercial lending experience handling middle market credits
Skills and Abilities:
Strong negotiating skills in the area of workout
Strong understanding of financial statement analysis
Strong understanding of banking regulation associated with collections (Collection law, Bankruptcy law)
Strong leadership skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Strong problem solving and organizational skills
Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:
Some travel required to meet with troubled borrowers and to meet with work out staffValid driver’s license
Tasks Performed:
70% Handle complex commercial workout credits. Take responsibility for all workout credits assigned to the other workout officers in the department and provide strategic guidance through direct meetings with the workout officers and borrowers.
20% Train, develop and mentor staff, including the workout manager.
5% Any other duties as directed or assigned
5% Review all budgets, forecasts and charge off recommendations.
