Marriott International (MI) is transforming its global network technology to offer the most advanced, most secure, most reliable, and most scalable networks in the hospitality industry. Network compliance and Standard is at the heart of our global network strategy and is a key enabler to drive this transformation. To help lead this initiative, we are seeking an innovative and hands-on network compliance and certification leader for our Network Compliance team. This leader will develop, maintain and ensure that Marriott’s network follow all standards across all network devices in Marriott networks, including Property Networks, Corporate Networks, Datacenter Networks and Cloud Networks – all of the global networks that power connectivity across Marriott. The Network compliance team also partners closely with the Global Information Security team and ensure that all regulatory standards and followed and implemented. The leader also set up governance, policy, vulnerability management and various compliance matrix to ensure that Marriott network is protected. Also network Compliance leader will set up the Test and Certification frame work to ensure that all code releases and Golden configuration and major changes followed the standards and Certify them for release. In this role, you will:

Lead a team of high-performing network compliance engineers to develop our compliance frame work.

Own the network compliance roadmap, participating in cross-functional technology teams to steer our compliance and Certification vision, and drive toward improved standards in our network governance and standards.

Work closely and collaboratively with expert network architects and engineers across the larger Global Networks organization.

Be accountable for driving the delivery and adoption of network compliance practices and operating models across all Global Networks teams.

Establish technical level relationships with other key disciplines within Marriott and partner to define and implement network security and regulatory compliance.

Manage the performance of the team members and provide mentorship for their growth and performance.

Driving measurable business value through the development and implementation of network compliance tools solutions

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field experience/certification

8+ years’ experience in a technical role within a Network/Security Engineering or Operations oranization designing and implementing complex and integrated networking solutions with multitudes of technologies including:

6+ years of experience with Network routing,switching,security operations and engineering

5+ years’ experience in Leading and managing technical teams.

5+ years of experience in creating network configurations complying to Global Security and Compliance Standards.

Compliance and Vulnerability Management experience.

Proven experience designing and implementing a successful network compliance program that adheres to the highest industry standards

In-depth knowledge of security compliance and risk management frameworks, such as NIST 800-53, CIS CSC, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS

Hardware EOL/EOS Management and Prepare the mitigation plans.

Implementation of WAN, LAN networks with a focus on mission-critical, highly available, customer-facing applications and services

Technical expertise in common routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), IPv6, VPN, etc. across a global WAN backbones and distributed datacenter platforms

Technical knowledge in ancillary network areas like DNS, NTP, and Network Tools Management as well as advanced networking disciplines of software-defined networks (SDN), spine leaf designs, load balancing, and security design (next-gen firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention)

Demonstrated experience in delivering written documents detailing network solutions and diagrams.

Ability to work non-standard hours during change implementations

Preferred:

Certification in network and/or security technologies (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, etc.)

Experience with designing and engineering Cloud Network and familiar with AWS, Azure, Alicloud, GCP

Experience with Firewall technologies like Checkpoint, PaloAlto,Fortinet etc

Experience in Network Hardware, Software, Configuration Manual or automated testing.

Strong Knowledge on Network and Security Compliance Standards on both On prem and Cloud Components.

Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of bigger and smaller bets across the team, while balancing short-term goals and long-term vision

Experience in network operations team.

Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success

Ability to build strong relationships and network throughout the broader IT community

Experience in the design, implementation, and operational support of mission critical products

Strong influencing skills and an ability to overcome barriers while driving change

Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products

Experience in developing technology roadmaps and strategies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders and IT teams

Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities

Experience operating in Scaled Agile Framework

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

As a leader strategize, develop goals, and implement plans for successful implementation of network compliance projects

Design, implement and operationalize network infrastructure policies and standards.

Act as a network Compliance leader to guide and mentor network compliance engineers in building innovative solutions.

Act as design and implementation partner to the architecture team in architecting, designing, and implementing the network solutions.

Act as leader in delivering our network compliance products in time by participating and scrum methodologies.

Conducts research and suggest design and implementation of Network compliance solutions and implement standard practices across enterprise network operations.

Materialize Network compliance solutions to enhance the operations and cost structures of the Marriott environment.

Accountable for project documentation with a focus on communicating technical features, functions of solutions and operational use.

Works closely with department leadership and service providers to support alignment of plans with solution delivery Participates in and suggests improvements to standards configuration, change management processes and practices.

Lead the development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects and tasks

Creates and articulates an innovative and compelling value proposition so that MI executives clearly realize the benefits and transformational value of site reliability engineering/tools.

Leads the "big picture" of challenges impacting the customer experience, including the technical, functional, and process considerations, and creatively defines the strategy to address those challenges.

Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available

Demonstrate extensive Operational and Support experience with strong ITIL alignment

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550 to $245,238 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550 to $222,943 annually.

Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $133,766 to $245,238 annually.

New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550 to $245,238 annually.

Washington, D.C. Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $121,605 to $222,943 annually.

Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550 to $245,238 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
