  Position Summary

  The Lead Director, Strategic Partnerships, directly supports the development and execution of firm-specific engagement strategies with assigned consulting firms. A key focus of the role is to work closely with other areas of Aetna to create positioning that supports Aetna's strategic business initiatives. In this role, you are expected t o ensure that consultants fully understand the differentiated nature of Aetna's products and services.

   Reports To: Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships. The Strategic Partnerships team is part of the Sales Enablement organization and partners closely with all sales and account management business segments (i.e., National and Enterprise Accounts, Middle Market, Public & Labor, Small Group, Meritain and Aetna International.

  Responsibilities and Duties

  General skills: In conjunction with leadership, develop and execute a nnual business plans for assigned consulting firms that include goals and objectives which are aligned with the Company's strategic business initiatives.Have strong knowledge of Aetna's products, services, and capabilities. Play a significant role in product development and new product launches. Have strong knowledge of the healthcare environment/landscape . Internal Activities: Internally collaborate with Strategic Sales and Account Management to develop and deliver consistent messages to effectively position Aetna to consultants. Support Aetna Sales and Account Teams to troubleshoot and support problem resolution as issues arise with consultants. Establish working relationships across Aetna, including Underwriting, Proposals, Networks, Product, Clinical and Legal. External activities: Manage firm-specific scorecards that provide insight into win/loss and retention results. Understand the organizational structure of assigned firms, inclusive of specialty practices (e.g., Voluntary, Pharmacy, etc.). Create excellent working relationships at all levels of the assigned firms. Engage and collaborate with consultants to better understand their RFP evaluation criteria and methodology. Look for opportunities to collaborate with consulting firms on best practice initiatives. Required Qualifications A minimum of 10 years of Sales, Account Management and/or benefits consultant experience with a health plan and/or benefits consulting firm. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, strong business acumen, exemplary listening and questioning skills, ability to work independently and within a team, effective planning and organizational skills, ability to effectively resolve conflict, excellent follow-up and persuasion skills. Strong working knowledge of Salesforce. Preferred Qualifications

  Solid understanding and success working with National benefit firms, as well as the ability to foster and grow strong business relationships.

  Ability to navigate a large organization.

  Education

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent expereince required.

  Pay Range

  The typical pay range for this role is:

  $100,000.00 - $227,000.00

  This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
