OBJECTIVES:

Our Data Sciences Institute (DSI) is made up of more than 250 quantitative scientists who harness the insight of data and digital to speed the development of highly innovative treatments to patients. These scientists (from statistics, programming, outcomes research and epidemiology, quantitative clinical pharmacology, digital strategy, library sciences and data architecture/governance) bring their expertise to our global program teams and re-imagine our disciplines. They work with novel data streams, including real-world data and digital tools, and apply advanced analytics including artificial intelligence and automation.
As part of DSI, the Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology Team at Takeda is looking to add individuals to our team that are team oriented, collaborative and have a strong understanding of mechanistic PK-PD and Pharmacometrics and its application in early clinical development for dose and trial optimization through to proof of concept (POC).
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead and deliver the mechanistic pharmacometric strategy for early clinical assets, linking pharmacokinetics to receptor-occupancy, target engagement, other biomarkers, safety and where feasible efficacy using a mechanistic framework for numerous assets across the Takeda disease areas early in clinical development.
Work closely with DMPK&M on the translational phase from pre-clinic to human and ensure that the modelling activities are a continuum into the clinic on transition, as appropriate.
Working closely with DMPK&M on the application of QSP models to gain insight into clinical assets as well as on back-translation activities (from clinic to discovery) to support early translational evaluation.
Act as a cross functional leader and influential execution and delivery decision maker that has direct impact on assets and functions
Proactively create and implement delivery strategies to enable predictable and seamless delivery of projects
Be the execution and delivery leader both within global project teams and functions as well as external with vendors
Drive for and implement process efficiency and improvements using learnings and events from across programs
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Education
Applicant for this position should have a Ph.D degree or M.S. degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, mathematic with demonstrated experience in mechanistic PK-PD within a pharmacometrics environment

Location and Salary Information:
This position is currently classified as “remote” in accordance with Takeda’s Hybrid and Remote Work policy.
Base Salary Range: $165,200 to $283,200, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.
