We are looking for a senior leader to advance the Security Architecture function to ensure risk identification, assessment, reduction, and accountability; while driving compliance with standards, policies, and applicable regulations globally. Security Architecture uses risk frameworks and methodologies to assess technology risk, evaluate technology providers, review trends, threats, and solutions to inform decision making, establish, and interpret cybersecurity policies and standards, and provide implementation guidance to manage risk. A successful leader at Starbucks is collaborative, organized, and able to work well through change and ambiguity. You should have strong technical, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills, and a validated record of a direct approach to leading teams and maturing programs in at scale.
This role contributes to Starbucks success by safeguarding information and systems assets against unauthorized use, disclosure, modification, damage, or loss. Serves as the focal point for maintaining and overseeing enterprise-wide cybersecurity assessments and consulting, while also influencing strategic decisions. Being successful in this role requires the desire and ability to influence, uplift, collaborate, and empower individuals.
This position reports to the vp of GRC & International within the Global Cybersecurity Services (GCS) organization. GCS is chartered with leading, inspiring, and supporting Starbucks to cultivate trust in our brand by ensuring confidentiality, integrity, & availability in every partner, customer & supplier experience. Success for the role will be the delivery of clear, consistent, and integrated global requirements.
Ensure delivery of a world class cybersecurity program . Lead Security Architecture functions through global planning, coordination, delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement. Multiple stakeholder groups rely on the effective management of repeatable and data-driven processes across the cybersecurity organization. Plan and manage department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
Develop and deliver on strategic roadmaps - You will be responsible advancing, maintaining, and delivering on global services and strategic initiatives within Security Architecture and the cybersecurity organization.
Inspire and influence others to achieve results – Set goals for the work group, develop the organizational capability, challenge partners to grown, and model how we work together. You will establish and maintain positive working relationships to successfully promote Security Architecture opportunities to support the development of a security-aware/care culture. You will collaborate closely with technology and cyber leadership, ISOs, service, and domain owners.
Be accountable for the quality and success of the outcome your work – You will ensure processes are known, documented, and properly performed to produce consistent, timely, high-quality deliverables.
