The Production Director responsible for coding and executing switching of audio and video sources in an automated production environment. The director also coordinates the efforts of all technical operators during newscasts and other live and prerecorded productions. Interprets digital scripts and communicates with crewmembers via headset to execute live and recorded broadcasts
Supervises production crew and maintains high standards for video, audio, and overall on-air presentation
Operates Ignite automation systems during live and recorded broadcasts
Provides training and direction to the production staff
Assist in repair and upkeep of studio and production sets and properties
Shoots, edits, and delivers content for local lifestyle show
Assists lifestyle show team with content creation and editing
Supervises production of half hour political talk show
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills :
High School Diploma, college degree preferred
Minimum of two years of television news operation and production experience preferred
Working knowledge of television production techniques and extensive experience with automation systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Creative decision-making skills
Knowledge of professional audio/video and staging techniques, facilities, and equipment
Proficiency with professional broadcast control equipment
Ability to formulate broadcast programming concepts and to plan, develop, and implement live and/or pre-recorded television programs
