  Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Director of Business Development to join our Hyatt Studios Team where you’ll join a team of fifteen field professionals who love what they do. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Commercial Services Team where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company.   The Role

  We are seeking a self-motivated Sales Professional who is an expert in driving high-value revenue to directly impact Hyatt Studios Hotels, specializing in driving greater long-term guest stays to support the success of the brand launch. Revenue Generation for Hyatt Studios will be accomplished through cross-functional collaboration across the Commercial Services Organization to cultivate current customer relationships while also uncovering new high-value business opportunities to increase Hyatt’s share of wallet.

  A successful candidate will work independently to lead a dynamic business development team, driving key revenue opportunities in collaboration with Franchise Owners and Operators of Hyatt Studios Hotels.

  •Ability to uncover and manage own account portfolio of key revenue opportunities within the Americas region, developing relationships directly with customers to grow Hyatt's share of wallet

  •Ability to lead a dynamic team, managing strategic priorities set forth by the Leadership team to achieve both team and organization short-term and long-term goals in launching the Hyatt Studios brand

  •Acquire new business opportunities that directly impact Hyatt Studios Markets to impact quicker ramp to fair market share and sustained market share performance

  •Ability to uncover new business opportunities that are currently not managed by the Hyatt Sales Force, Field Sales, and/or currently not utilizing Hyatt Select Service Brands

  •Act as a conduit between Hyatt Corporate and Hyatt Studios Owners, Operators, and hotel leaders to execute revenue generation initiatives and proactive sales opportunities

  •Expert use of Market analytics tools to research potential acquisition accounts for Hyatt, hyper-focused on longer stays, including group, transient, and leisure segments

  •Solicitation & qualification of new accounts to meet/exceed leads-generated goals, revenue goals, and/or quota goals through market analysis, direct solicitation through telephone calls, digital communications, or outside calls

  •Collaboration across multiple departments to evolve and scale efforts including, but not limited to; Hyatt Sales Force, Revenue Management, Marketing, Loyalty, Operations, Openings, and Learning Teams to support Revenue and Net room growth goals

  •Brand representative of Hyatt Studios and Hyatt Corporate at Industry Events to create brand awareness and build customer relationships

  •Play an active role in supporting Hyatt Commercial Services training and revenue generation initiatives

  •Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values

  •Opportunities to participate in Hyatt’s Diversity & Inclusion activities

  Qualifications:

  Experience Required:

  •Minimum 10 years of hotel experience including sales experience in select-service hotels, extended stay select-service experience required

  •Strong sales knowledge of extended stay segment, including, transient, group, and leisure

  •Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business required

  Experience Preferred:

  •Minimum 5 years Director of Sales experience in Select Service Hotels and/or select-service regional experience

  •Experience working with multiple hotels and/or multiple brands, Extended Stay brand hotels, Temporary Accommodation providers, or other third-party organizations within travel/hospitality is a plus
