Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is currently recruiting for a Procurement Director for Access & Patient Services. The position will be based in Titusville, NJ!
The Procurement Director for Access & Patient Services will be accountable for ensuring alignment between Procurement strategy, Janssen's Business Plan, and critical Therapeutic Teams for the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine ("JJIM") business. This role requires a leader that is a strong relationship builder, strategic problem solver and influencer. You will lead a team of 4 in support of approximately $400MM in Access and Patient Support spend for JJIM globally. This spend is multifaceted in nature given its focus on ensuring patients have a smooth journey from diagnosis to starting a regimen or therapy and ultimately staying on regimen. JJIM relies on close collaboration with many partners, both internal and external, in order to ensure success for our patients.
In this role you will:
Key Responsibilities:
Understand the JJIM business needs globally and devise Procurement strategies to advance those priorities
Identify industry trends that Procurement must build into its category strategies to ensure continued relevance to JJIM
Lead category strategy development and implementation, and key supplier management, for the categories
Develop and lead strategic deal development with external partners for the categories
Engage with JJIM Procurement regional heads and senior business leaders, to ensure alignment with regional business strategies
Deliver against performance targets (financial, service, reliability, citizenship, quality, innovation and growth commitments) for the JJIM Procurement organization
Engage directly with supplier CEO’s and other senior leadership to assure JJIM and supplier objectives are aligned and met, including quality, reliability, innovation, and cost
Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management, improvement of end-to-end value, and innovation.
Develop deep subject matter expertise and a formal understanding of industry/market dynamics for the Patient Services sub-categories.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree is required. MBA/Advanced degree is helpful. Experience and Skills:
Required:
A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience is required.
Strong business insight– the ability to understand challenges through the eyes of the regional business leaders
Influencing skills – the ability to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal
Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the senior executive level, as well as with peers
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information to senior executives
Broad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus (spend management, category management and supplier management)
Proven learning agility, and the ability to improve both yourself and the people around you
Ability to inspire an organization to achieve stretch goals
Preferred:
High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community, based on broad experience
Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and implementing significant change programs
Multi-country and multi-industry experience with experience across geographies of varied sizes and businesses
Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment
Strong project and change management capabilities
Prior people management experience to include performance evaluations and talent development is helpful.

The salary for this position is anticipated to be between $140,000 and $215,000.
