Job Summary:The Center for Professional Development in Career and Technical Education in the College of Education and Human Development is a grant funded program charged with delivering field-based teacher education programming in a specialized setting. The Director of Leadership, Co-op and Professional Development will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the professional development for CTE professional personnel and the Leadership and Cooperative Certification program. The incumbent will be responsible for recruiting students, coordinating adjuncts hires for the leadership and Co-op programs, reviewing curriculum, assessing program needs and developing strategies for improving program outcomes. The incumbent will also coordinate the Teacher Learning Network, Director's Academy, Best Practice Collaboration, Family and Consumer Science and SOAR workshops, etc. The incumbent will report directly to the Executive Director and will perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:bachelor's degree and at least five years of directly related experience required. CTE Administrator/Director's Certification required. Relevant experience that includes program oversight including program development, professional development training, partnership building with multiple and diverse stakeholders, curriculum oversight, program evaluation, and staff supervision. Experience working with regional partners, career and technical centers and state personnel required. An equivalent combination of workforce education and CTE related experience may be considered.Required Skills & Abilities:*Proven track record of leadership and partnership building, staff supervision and training, and curriculum development.*Proven track record of grant management, strategic program development, evaluation and reporting*Ability to use initiative, sound judgment, and a detailed knowledge of department and University policies and procedures to solve problems and make good decisions.*Ability to manage programs and serve clients from diverse geographic regions*Ability to implement, evaluate and improve programs based on data- driven practices*Strong supervisory skills and ability to manage performance and develop staff.*Ability to travel to program sites and operate effectively in cross- cultural environments.*Strong research abilities, quantitative and qualitative data collection and statistical analysis techniques and methodology.*Strong public speaking, presentation, and communication skills.*Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders and demonstrate cultural competency*Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.*Ability to adhere to all applicable policies, procedures and protocols.*Ability to create and/or streamline internal processes and systems to track program data and reports for audits and progress reporting as necessary.*Ability to market program using social media/web platforms*Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.*Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities*Ability to recruit and on-board staffPreferred:*A master's degree in education or workforce related fieldand five or moreyearsofexperience, in CTE leadership and administration.*Advanceddegree (Doctorate /Ph.D)invocationaleducation/workforcedevelopment*Priorexperienceworkinginhighereducationand/orstate-widebureaucracies*Familiaritywithcareerandtechnicaleducationlandscape*This positio requires a background check.*This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.*This is a grant funded positionThis position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.Temple University is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all in every aspect of its operations, including employment, service, and educational programs.
