Overview:
Supports implementation and execution of computer forensic operations and evidence preservation. Supports adjoining business lines in coordination of confidential Legal, Human Resources and Compliance-related preservation, collection and/or investigation requests. Mentors less experienced personnel.
Primary Responsibilities:
Research, retrieve/preserve electronic data inclusive of emails in support of ongoing litigation, investigations and/or regulatory requirements.
Participate and provide material findings in forensic examinations of electronic equipment in support of ongoing litigation, investigations and/or regulatory requirements.
Assist in promoting overall mission of the Digital Forensics program by supporting strategic initiatives designed to maintain program currency and viability.
Work in a confidential and discrete manner with colleagues and external authorities.
Work under general supervision of more experienced personnel while being afforded opportunity to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
Work with all levels of the Bank staff, including senior managers to discuss matters related to litigation, investigations and/or regulatory required activities.
Serve as back-up support to Investigators.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the MT Bank brand.
Maintain MT internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for end results of assigned responsibilities and providing input to planning, policies and procedures within Digital Forensics. In carrying out these responsibilities the job holder is required to exercise judgment based on best practice and precedence and through shared responsibility for volume, quality and timeliness of end results.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year’s professional experience,
OR in lieu of a degree,
A combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including 1 year’s professional experience
Solid understanding of computer hardware and operating systems
Capable of quickly learning new technical skills
Experience working independently and with a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of evidence handling procedures
Ability to travel across the Bank’s footprint as required
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Information Assurance or related discipline
Industry-related certifications
Excellent technical writing skills
Detail-oriented
MT Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $33.67 - $56.11 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
