JOB SUMMARY: As our Diamond Saw Operator, you ll be responsible for the programming, setup, and operation of various saws. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING: Loading and unloading saws with an overhead crane Reading production tickets to determine what cuts are necessary for that stone Reviewing work to ensure it meets the production tickets Indexing the saw blades to the correct sizes and dimensions Leveling, wedging, and squaring stones on the saw cart using large hammers and pry bars Loading pre-programmed profiles from the network and inputs manual cuts as needed Monitoring the saw during operation; adjusting and correcting as needed Troubleshooting cutting problems that may arise REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: General computer skills Ability to perform a variety of duties Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Mechanically inclined Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed HIRING BONUS REQUIREMENTS/DETAILS: The candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements.
