We are offering an exciting opportunity with a management company in West Hollywood, CA. We are seeking a Head of DevOps to join the company. As the Head of DevOps, you will be managing and scaling complex environments, utilizing CI/CD tools and platforms, and implementing containerization and orchestration tools.

This role is 3 days onsite in West Hollywood, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Building out a team from scratch

• Display strong leadership in managing large-scale DevOps environments.

• Utilize CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.

• Implement and manage containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Leverage deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred) and networking services.

• Deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

• Use monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.

• Understand and manage microservices architecture, serverless computing, and distributed systems.

• Uphold security best practices including DevSecOps and compliance requirements.

• Display strong team-building and communication skills.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Amazon EC2 is essential for managing application programs on the cloud.

• Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management and application deployment.

• Experience with Apache ANT+ for automating software build processes.

• Knowledge of Apache Tomcat for implementing Java servlets and rendering web pages.

• Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking.

• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies to ensure efficient project management.

• Strong skills in Automation to streamline and simplify operational tasks.

• Expertise in GCP Technologies for managing and controlling cloud resources.

• Ability to perform Cluster Analysis to identify and solve system issues.

• Experience in Configuration Management to maintain system consistency.

• Proficiency in using Terraform for building, changing, and versioning infrastructure.

• Experience with Cloudformation for modeling and setting up Google Cloud Platform Services.
