Description We are seeking a Desktop Support Analyst based in Houston, Texas. This role is within the IT industry, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for end users, maintaining server infrastructure, and managing network-based services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and solutions for end users

• Manage and troubleshoot physical and virtual server infrastructure

• Maintain and monitor Windows server environment

• Oversee and troubleshoot network-based services such as File and Print services, Email, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS/WINS

• Maintain and troubleshoot district messaging and meeting systems

• Configure and manage district document imaging solution

• Monitor and troubleshoot district door security access system

• Maintain documentation of backup processes and retention periods

• Provide Tier 3 support for customers and technical staff

• Test backup and disaster recovery processes Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or in a similar role

• Proficient in operating systems, particularly Microsoft Windows and MS Windows 10

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Active Directory

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of explaining complex technical issues in simple terms

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks or projects simultaneously

• Willingness to keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service

• Proven ability to meet set deadlines and targets
