Robert Half is offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Oakland, California. In this Desktop Support role, you will provide crucial support to a large number of users, manage customer service inquiries, and handle various tech-related tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

The Desktop Support role will provide technical assistance to 150-200 users, both in-person and remotely

Manage and resolve user inquiries, primarily focusing on password resets

Offer customer service-oriented support efficiently and effectively

Handle tickets end-to-end, ensuring user issues are resolved in a timely manner

Operate within a Windows-dominated environment, with a smaller percentage of Mac tasks

Utilize Slack heavily for internal communication and ticket bundling through Jira

Work with Google Workspace tools, including Google Docs and Google Drive

Practice Two Factor Authentication for enhanced security

Participate in office buildout and refresh projects

Occasional travel to San Jose and Richmond is required

Maintain a proactive approach to tasks, without a heavy reliance on metrics for performance evaluation.

Requirements

The candidate must have at least 4 years of detail-oriented experience as a Desktop Support Analyst

Ability to travel to San Jose and Oakland

Familiarity with operating systems like Mac OS and Mac OS X is essential

Experience with Active Directory and imaging software.

The candidate should have the ability to work with Office 365

Proficiency in using Google Docs is a requisite for this job

The candidate must have experience in using and troubleshooting Network troubleshooting issues

Familiarity internal communication tools is required for this role.
