Description:
This Hospital is a non-profit healthcare system, owned by the state of North Carolina and based in Raleigh, NC. This client is made up of 16 hospitals with a presence in 52 counties across the state. They are a 660-bed hospital with more than 6,400 staff members and is one of the largest employees in Wake County TEKsystems has been supporting this team since 2017 with talent resources, helping them with technology transformations and scaling their systems and resources efficiently as they go through acquisitions.
This desktop team is currently looking for a technician to join their team on a long-term, extendable contract. This individual will be supporting the hospital and the surrounding ambulatory clinics. Main duties include break/fix tickets and service requests 50% of the time, and 50% of the time they will be supporting projects that include hardware refreshes, deployments, migrations, etc. They will also be spending some time supporting asset management, commissioning, and decommissioning devices.
Some of the break/fix issues could be related to PCs, printers (including zebra printers), and other peripheral devices (connectivity), why applications aren't running, putting machines into AD, onboarding new users, and setting up of workstations.
They use ServiceNow as their ticketing system, Bomgar to do remote support, and they have desktops and VDI. Vocera Support for their Voice Environment, and Empravada Badge Access. They are a Citrix environment, with some basic EPIC support as well. PATIENT CARE DIRECTLY IMPACTED
There are two needs. M-F 8-5p and the other is need is M-F 2p-10p. This person must come with support and maturity to be onsite as the sole technician from 6p-11p. These are long-term consulting role, which has the right to hire they hire all of their FTEs through their consultant population.
