Job Description
In this position, candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting EDA tool services to ensure efficient design activities and will be interfacing with internal (Intel specific tools and flows) as well as industry/vendor (synopsys/cadence/mentor and others as may) tools and flows.
The position will entail the employee to actively participate with design engineers and fellow design automation engineers on active debugging, root causing, and troubleshooting - in addition to identifying and pursuing design productivity improvements. Critical skills include understanding of circuits, circuit simulation, custom physical verification (STA/Noise), software development, software engineering, familiarity with at least one of the vendor tools or internal Intel PV tools as above and ability to articulate and understand the requirements.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum qualifications:
Candidate must possess a MS degree with 2+ years of experience or PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
2+ years of experience in the following:
VLSI focus .
Experience with one or more of the vendor tools: synopsys/cadence/mentor/Intel tools.
Shell scripting, Perl, Python and Tcl.
Custom design and verification tools usage, debugging, and flow development - vendor or internal.
Preferred qualifications:
2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Familiarity with OA/SKILL
Exposure to physical design automation.
Exposure to design automation tools and design using vendor tools.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
