Amentum is currently searching for a Deputy Program Manager to join our team in Odon, Indiana. The Deputy Program Manager will manage operations of the Maritime Electromagnetic Warfare (MEW) Systems Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract (IAC MAC) under the general guidance of the Sr. Program Manager.
This position will also be responsible for planning and managing the work efforts of task team personnel, determine, and monitor schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with all contract and task order requirements and quality standards pertaining to the program. Interfacing with customer personnel in work performance will be essential for this position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison with the customer ACOR.
Responsible for the operational and financial management of the program, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction by quality performance of contractor support.
Manage, control, and execute activities associated with the development of plans under the program contract to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations, including cost, schedule, and quality, while maintaining company profit motives.
Communicate new requirements, concerns, and issues to the Program Manager for resolution.
Continuously work with government customer and contractor team members to identify opportunities to improve financial tracking and reporting.
Stay current with government customer requirements and assist in creating and maintaining baseline practices and procedures that align with guidance provided.
Provide for the welfare of the personnel and the enhancement of the contract, to include optimizing the balance between resources of manpower, equipment, time, materials, and money.
Responsible for keeping the Company, Corporate Management, and interested US Government personnel apprised on status of operations and maintenance and any other special interest items.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested by the Program Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business and five (5) years or more of related experience or a combination of high school diploma, and ten (10) years of related experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Five (5) years of supervisory and management experience.
Experience in planning, managing supervising Contractor Support Operations, to include managing subcontractors.
Strong organizational and time management skills to address both planned and unplanned events.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to adapt/tailor message and delivery based upon intended audience.
Proven ability to interact/collaborate and lead conversations with various levels of staff and contractor team members.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Please note that US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with US government contracts
PMP Certification
Prior experience working with Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane WXM
