Minimum Qualifications Experience:Four (4) years of responsible management, administrative or supervisory experience in the health services field including one (1) year as manager of one or more of the following areas functioning in support of clinical or treatment services: budget, fiscal, human resource management, affirmative action, information systems management, or support services in a general hospital, community mental health center, health care facility or a facility or agency providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness or developmental disabilities. ANDEducation:A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards in hospital, health care, public or business administration or a related field.ORExperience:Six (6) years of the experience described above including two (2) years as a manager as described above.ANDEducation:A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards.Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to participate in Federal health care programs (e.g., Medicaid). Duties Description The DDPC 1 – Admin is an essential member of the facility’s Executive Management Team. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, and in close collaboration with the Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 2 – Administration at Rockland Psychiatric Center, the DDPC 1 – Admin will oversee the day – to – day development and direction of administrative management and support services, including human resources management; business office, budget, and fiscal services; physical plant, maintenance, and grounds; environmental services; nutrition; and building-specific safety and security. The DDPC 1 Admin, as part of the management team of the facility, assists the Executive Director and provides administrative leadership; implements facility policies; interprets policy guidelines and monitors the effectiveness of these policies and ensures Joint Commission standards for Administrative Services are met.
Additional Comments Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center (RCPC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1 – Administration (DDPC 1 – Admin). RCPC, a New York State operated, Joint Commission accredited mental health facility, provides inpatient treatment as well as a wide variety of outpatient services, including intensive day treatment programs and clinics for children and adolescents. The facility serves the following counties: Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster, Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess.
