The Office of Privacy and Security is responsible for information technology privacy and security for all Treasury systems and applications. This includes policy development, access rights administration and controls, system security administration, data governance, security monitoring, auditing, developing business continuity plans, and handling security incidents.

This position serves as a resource designated for a Treasury business area to provide assistance with, but not limited to, system security plan development, addressing information technology (IT) security weaknesses, and compiling data catalogs. This position will work with their designated business area to ensure systems and processes are implemented with security and privacy by design. The individual will also perform troubleshooting for software and hardware where appropriate and provide guidance to the business area on implementation of State of Michigan IT Standards, IRS Publication 1075, and other requirements at the direction of the security manager.
