About Demand Planner

  Job Summary

  Identify, collaborate, and gather project hardware requirements globally from all pertinent internal and external sources to assist in creating an accurate monthly demand forecast transmitted for production. Provide customer expected lead times for projects and communicate risks. Ensure that the planning lead time is adhered to and project data is maintained by Sales and Project teams worldwide.

  In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  Create, review, and update the demand plan and inventory strategies to support inventory, sales and on-time delivery targets. Ensure that global project requirements are covered in the demand plan.

  Ensure that all relevant business tools needed in monitoring customer projects from proposal stage to project won until order entry are efficient and relevant.

  Ensure that all project details in the planning database are properly and accurately maintained to ensure accurate project forecast.

  Ensure that all planned projects are scheduled based on the need-by-date.

  Collaborate with internal and external customers (Sales Offices, Local Business Partners, Project Leads, and other identified contacts) to obtain most current project data information.

  Collaborate with Sales and Operations leaders worldwide to discuss the results of the project measures, drive actions to improve performance and discuss future projects.

  Conduct monthly, quarterly, and as needed calls and discussions to ensure adherence with agreed processes and workflows.

  Collaborate with various supply chain teams to address process gaps, improve current procedures or drive initiatives.

  Coordinate with supply and product planner to review excess inventory and determine If it was driven by unconsumed project forecast.

  Handle escalations relating to project prioritization and supply allocation.

  Coordinate with various Supply Chain and WWCS teams to achieve critical metric targets and improve related processes.

  Conduct internal training and refresher related to demand planning.

  Drive the development of new processes, work procedures and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity of the planning team.

  Review all projects scheduled within the next 12 weeks to firm the project forecast.

  Monitor and review all project demand movements to reduce potential inventory risk and forecast errors.

  Review project movements and assess its impact to DOH and other inventory metrics.

  Identify, recommend, and implement inventory management initiatives based on DOH and other inventory analysis tools.

  Supply weekly and monthly planning reports to internal and external customers.

  Support function for planning aspect of special / one-off projects.

  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  Minimum 9 years’ experience in a Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Customer Service Operation

  Graduate of a bachelor’s degree in either Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related courses

  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

  Has practical experience in using ERP systems like AS400, Oracle or SAP.
