Truck/Delivery Driver
Summary:
The Truck & Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting partsregionally to customers, outside vendors, and platers. Also, responsiblefor picking up raw materials, maintenance supplies, shop chemicals, heattreated pallets. Maintaining a positive relationship with vendors &customers and obeys all traffic & speed limit laws. The Truck & DeliveryDriver is professional, respectful, courteous & friendly to allcustomers & suppliers, as well as to fellow employees, Supervisors &Managers at Masters Machine, and reports to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities:
Plan delivery/pick-up logistics and load truck accordingly
Shrink wrap pallets for shipping
Verify parts and paperwork to be shipped as well as parts being returnedfrom platers
Ensure that all paperwork for material pack slips returning to MMC issigned and dated and also signed and dated by Washpack when taken offthe truck
Assist with snow removal
Oversee the physical condition of the truck, scheduling maintenance andrepair as needed, making repairs yourself when it warrants
Help service the loading dock plate (grease & lube)
May also receive general facility assignments when availability permits
Obeys all traffic and speed limit laws
DOT Requirements:
Medical certification for Interstate operation
Compliance and familiarity with documentation (drivers logs, pre-tripinspection, customer BOL/packing slips/truck log, registration,insurance card, IFTA permit, medical card)
Understanding of and compliance with HOS regulations and CFRs related tointerstate transportation, including proper load securement

advance
Work in a safe & orderly manner, promptly reporting personal injuries &unsafe conditions to a Safety Team Member or Production Managerdepending on severity of the condition,
Be concerned for the safety of others and work together improving safety
Protect & maintain equipment & materials from damage and loss
Qualifications:
Clean and valid drivers license with no record, citations, or convictionduring the 36 consecutive months prior to application date
Three to Five years related experience and/or training
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug tests
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularlyrequired to stand or sit for several hours and lift or move up to 50lbs.The employee must have the ability to read, listen and communicateeffectively in English both verbally and in writing as well as hearingand visual ability to observe and detect signs of an emergencysituation.
