JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists theDepartment Manager with achieving Deli labor goals by creating associateschedules and collaborating with store leadership on daily/weekly/annuallabor objectives Contributes to the Deli Department gross profit goals,planning and shrink control Leads and reinforces Festival culture, guestservice and performance expectations Maintains adequate staff levels bypartnering with Human Resources Manager interviewing applicants andextending job offers to qualified candidates Responsible for thethorough and consistent training and leadership of new Deli associatesProvides support and additional training to associates 30, 60, and 90days post-hire to manage retention Provides guidance and delegatesduties to Deli department leaders Develops associates by supportingprofessional goals and objectives Collaborate with the DepartmentManager to write and conduct performance reviews of Deli associates,partnering with Deli leaders on specific areas within departmentDocuments violations of company policies/procedures by associates andconducts the appropriate corrective action in collaboration with HumanResources Manager and Store Director Ensures correct signage isrepresented throughout Deli Department Observes sales floor and backstock conditions; takes action to correct areas of opportunity Maintainsinventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products received andsold Places orders with various vendors for special orders and holidays,utilizing item movement as needed Provides excellent guest services byaddressing concerns, resolving issues and living the boomerang principleContributes to overall cleanliness of the department by maintaining,organizing and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as neededAssists Department Manager with the preparation of coaching sessions,performance reviews, event notes, training checklists and store salesOther duties as assigned Regular, timely attendance in compliance withthe work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement foroccasional absences QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, anindividual must be able to perform each essential job dutysatisfactorily.
