This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. Title: Senior Database Administrator
The Oracle Healthcare platform and infrastructure team can provide you with the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massively scaled, coordinated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. To support this vision, we are building a platform that handles the end-to-end lifecycle, from provisioning to upgrade to termination, and provides a self-service cloud experience to the customer. We are looking for hard-working engineers who are Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Data Management (Partitioning, Compression), and Exadata authorities. We seek engineers with current experience in cloud technologies or those interested in expanding their skills in the Cloud.
As a Database Administrator with OHAI, you will be responsible for maintaining the Database KTLO, which includes performing basic database monitoring and capacity management. You will triage database alerts and issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling, maintaining, and supporting healthcare Non-production, Standby, Golden Gate, and Production databases, including setting up and maintaining database backups, monitoring, and maintaining database replication. You will apply database software updates and stand-alone hotfixes to customer environments and connect with third-party software or hardware manufacturers as needed to ensure optimal configuration and support. Candidates should have a good understanding of Oracle Database architecture, Backup and Recovery, Data Guard, Real Application Clusters, ASM, Data Pump, Patching, Performance, and SQL Tuning. Moreover, you will be part of the OHAI roadmap projects, such as migrating the Database to Oracle Cloud, DB Modernizations, and Autonomous Databases.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 5+ years of experience as Oracle DBA
2+ years of experience shipping scalable, cloud native distributed systems.
Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree (Information Technology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Software/Electronics/Operational Research/Computer System Engineering).
Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-functional team environment.
Solid grasp of Computer Science concepts
Knowledge in Python, Perl and/or Shell Scripting
Handling production databases running on UNIX flavors (RHEL, OEL).
You are experienced at building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
Experience with production operations and standard methodologies for putting quality code in production and address issues when they arise
Able to optimally communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)
Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services.
At least 2+ Years of Experience in Oracle Golden Gate

Building and handling Linux OS systems with good understanding how the Linux kernel works (IO, Network, etc.) and ability to read and understand source code.

Oracle’s Health and AI Database Services Team is actively seeking a reliable Database Administrator to join our diverse team. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in our Database Infrastructure team. This position is based in India and presents an exciting opportunity to give to the improvement of healthcare services within a multifaceted multi-tenant cloud environment. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be instrumental in achieving our mission to enhance healthcare services. Your key responsibilities include:
Will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle Golden Gate solutions to ensure efficient and reliable data replication across our enterprise systems.
Chip in to strategic projects outlined in our roadmap, focusing on transitioning on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud.
Lead efforts to migrate databases to the Autonomous Database, ensuring a flawless transition for optimal performance.
Will be responsible for maintaining the Database KTLO
Implement sophisticated strategies like partitioning and advanced compression to enhance overall database efficiency.
Work closely with multiple teams, actively participating in the execution of roadmap projects.
Apply your abilities and hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud and Data Management, including the implementation of Oracle partitioning and sophisticated compression.
Chip in to the growth of the team by mentoring new associates, facilitating knowledge transfer and team development.
