Cloud Technologies App Platform (AP) team is looking for an extraordinary Machine Learning engineer to join our team. You will help design and implement our machine learning strategy to take our developer experience platform to the next level and help accelerate app development inside Apple. We will be collaborating and working with multi-functional teams and applying algorithms to large-scale data.

　　Key Qualifications

　　5+ years of overall experience in the software industry focussed on ML

　　Highly skilled in quantitative programming languages such as Python, R, SQL with distributed stores like S3, Spark, Vector Database

　　Experience with model deployment for experimentation

　　Solid understanding and experience in advanced machine learning (ML) algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models.

　　Solid understanding of transformer architecture, vector embeddings and applying a model to solve various business problems

　　Ensuring data quality data via analysis, modeling by handling missing values, outliers, evaluating model performance, validating results, and interpreting the outcomes to provide concrete recommendations

　　Choosing appropriate ML algorithms, training models, and fine-tuning hyper-parameters to achieve the best predictive performance.

　　Experience with training a model or use of a foundation model and re-training or fine tuning to custom meeds

　　Ability to meaningfully present results of analyses in a clear and impactful manner. Able to break down sophisticated machine learning model knowledges to digestible information for non-technical audience.

　　Experience in applying ML techniques in developer productivity is a plus

　　Description

　　The Application Platform team provides frameworks, services and developer tools to internal engineering teams in Apple to accelerate their SDLC. We are working on a Generative AI based developer experience platform for internal use and assist our app development team. You will collaborate with Machine Learning engineers, Software engineers, and other data scientists to deliver and end to end AI enabled solution for this platform.

　　At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
