Job Discipline Description :
Coordinates the development, implementation and administration of policies and procedures to ensure the protection of personal data in compliance with organization and regulatory requirements .
Collaborates with Legal , Information Security and IT departments in order to identify personal data risks and to establish procedures to eliminate these risks .
Monitors procedures related to the collection, storage, retrieval and disclosure of personal data | Identifies and follows up on data protection issues that require investigation, resolution and/or legal action .
Plans and conducts personal data compliance training programs .
May provide professional legal advice regarding personal data privacy .
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates , reviews and evaluates the life cycle of confidential and sensitive data, including the collection, storage, use, transfer, retention, and destruction of information.
Coordinates and analyzes company-wide programs related to privacy, including facilitation and assessment activities.
Reviews privacy and security controls and makes compliance recommendations
Respond to privacy-related inquiries from internal and external customers.
Research and staying up to date on current privacy industry standards.
Performs privacy awareness activities such as training, developing, and maintaining privacy-related communications, coordinating the marketing of privacy programs, and leading and participating in workgroups and task forces.
Develops privacy controls, policies, standards, guidelines, and operating procedures.
Monitors and analyzes privacy-related legislation.
Evaluate third-party contracts and makes recommendations regarding privacy practices and controls, as appropriate .
GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Experience in privacy analysis, information security, or process management work. A four-year college or university graduate with major coursework in business administration, government, management information systems, public administration, or a related field is generally preferred . Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of privacy and information security standards, process development, and project management theories and practices. Skill in conducting research, in diagramming business process flows, and in using a computer and applicable software. Ability to identify and resolve problems, to maintain confidentiality and protect privacy, to develop policies and procedures, to communicate effectively, and supervise the work of others
Leadership:
No supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance to new associates

Solves standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment, and precedents.
