As a member of the Office ofInstitutional Research and Analysis, the data and systems specialistwill provide accurate, reliable, and actionable information tostakeholders across campus to enable effective decision-making insupport of student success. The role is responsible for managing dataapplications/systems used by the office, like course evaluations,faculty success, student surveys, and internal and external datarequests. Compensation Band Exempt A Duties and Responsibilities 1.Systems management: Serve as the primary administrator of severalsystems used by the office for course evaluations, faculty success,student surveys and internal and external data requests. Coordinate theadministration the systems, including system set-up, data and reportmanagement, communication, training, and end user support. 2. Datamanagement: Query, validate, manipulate, and summarize data fromenterprise systems and warehouse environments using tools such as SQL,SAS, R, Python, and/or SPSS. 3. Communication: Clearly communicatefindings to non-technical audiences orally, in written form, andgraphically as appropriate using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word,Tableau, and/or Power BI. 4. Data literacy: Ensure stakeholdersunderstand and appropriately use data products produced by the office byproviding appropriate training and documentation. 5. Innovation:Proactively identify innovative improvements, methodologies, andtechnologies to assist the office and the university in achieving theirmissions and to improve student success. 6. Perform other duties andresponsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Preferred Knowledge, Skills andAbilities Master\'s degree or higher in business, data science,statistics, mathematics, computer science, social or behavior science orother related field Experience with relational databases and in queryingenterprise data systems and warehouse environments.
