Job Description:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Data Acquisition Processing Technician to join our team at our Bayview, Idaho location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical troubleshooting, cable splicing and repair, soldering, and the ability to read schematics and technical references. Key Responsibilities:

Apply wiring and cable management principles including splicing, mating of cables, troubleshooting, and testing.

Perform basic soldering tasks.

Read and interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical references.

Clearly and precisely convey technical information and details.

Utilize knowledge of potting and molding principles, including the use of epoxy and elastomeric compounds.

Proficiently use electrical test equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, meggers, and precision measuring equipment, to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.

Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of computer, acoustic systems and components.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science or military tech school

● Required Experience: 3+ years of experience

● Required Technical Skills: electrical troubleshooting, cable splicing, repair and soldering.

● Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance

● Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong experience reading technical drawings, and schematics.

Proficiency in electrical testing using a variety of electrical test equipment.

Excellent attention to detail, procedural compliance and ability to create and interpret technical documents.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.30 - $31.05. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
