　　The schedule for this position will be: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, with a flexible shift between the hours of 5:00am and 7:00pm. Start time can be between 5:00am and 11:30am.

　　Job Duties/Responsibilities:

　　Screen and evaluate any gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory for the determination of possible malignant or related abnormal conditionsScreening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slidesPerform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policiesEnsure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelinesMaintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of resultsMeet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedureFinalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely mannerProvide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as neededComply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policies

　　Bachelor of Science degree in biology, chemistry, cytology or relatedSuccessful competition of an accredited Cytology programFL State Cytotechnologist license requiredASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is requiredPrior experience working in Cytology is preferred, new grads welcome with completion of required items!ThinPrep certification is a plusMust pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency testDemonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniquesAutomated and non-automated testing experience is preferredFamiliarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) preferredMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
