  Summary:

  Performs cytology screening, evaluation, and interpretation of gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides. Assists with FNA and EUS procedures and staining. Performs other routine clinical laboratory procedures/tasks including specimen accessioning, specimen processing and staining, report generation, quality control, preventative maintenance, and quality improvement activities.

  Salary range for this position is $87,915 - $97,008 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

  Qualifications:

  Required Education and Experience

  1. License to practice as a Cytotechnologist in the State of New York; or

  2. Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology and eligibility for licensure as a Cytotechnologist in the State of New York; or

  3. Bachelor's degree with a one (1) year course of study at an accredited school of Cytotechnology and eligibility for licensure as a Cytotechnologist in the State of New York.

  NOTE:

  Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  The preferred candidate will have experience with Cytology procedures, experience with Fine Needle Aspirate/Rapid On-site Evaluation Procedures, is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, has excellent customer service skills and has other relevant experience applicable to laboratory operations.
