SAIC has an opportunity for a qualified candidate to join the SAIC family supporting one of our programs. The successful candidate will be asked to oversee, design, engineering, and Implementation of global enterprise Cybersecurity initiatives as directed and offer solutions to enhance, security protocols in order to secure and protect all data source enclaves. We are seeking an expert in applying all aspects of Defensive Security – policy, planning and continuous monitoring for a DoD customer based in Colorado Springs, CO. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast-paced team. The successful candidate will be securing enterprise Services increasing performance, security, scalability, and stability while reducing costs and complexity.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Manage the coordination, application, implementation and execution of Cybersecurity Services Incident Response, IA policy, A&A, mitigation recommendations, etc.
Identify and communicate changes that might affect information system (IS) security authorization status to the N&NC CISO and AO.
Identify vulnerabilities and work with technical subject matter experts to identify and implement countermeasures.
Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systems.
Ensure IS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with established security policies and practices.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members as a security expert.
Review, prepare, and update ATO packages for N&NC enterprise systems in accordance with NIST RMF and appropriate DoD / IC guidelines.
Ensure security plans and ATOs are accurately and properly submitted to the appropriate authorities for systems requiring N&NC ATOs.
Build relationships with Government counterparts to ensure J66’s compliance activities are executed properly.
Perform self-inspections, provide security coordination and review of system test plans.
Coordinate with business units to ensure compliance of all program-related business unit equipment and networks.
Work closely with GSO/J66 to develop and execute department-level strategy and objectives.
Defines, documents, and coordinates connections to unclassified and classified networks.
Researching, maintaining, and applying expertise in emerging technologies and industry developments, trends, best practices, and principles of cyber security and cyber engineering.
Qualifications
R EQUIR ED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, IT and/or cyber systems security or computer science. Master’s degree in related field a plus.
Active Top Secret / SCI eligibility
Minimum/General Experience: Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in Information Systems Operations.
CS including ten (10) years demonstrated support in the areas of systems, networks and applications analysis directly related to DoD or IC CS/INFOSEC, Cyber Defense (CD), Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementations.
At least five (5) years of experience in defining information systems security programs or processes for the protection of sensitive or classified information.
REQUIRED CERTS AND SKILLS:
IA baseline certification 8570 – 8140 IAM Level III, Certification in one of the following areas, CISSP (or Associates), CISM, GSLC.
Demonstrated strong presentation communication skills, oral and written; comfortability briefing Government Stakeholders and Executive Leadership
DESIRED CERTS AND SKILLS:
CISSP with concentration in Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP‐ISSMP) or CISSP with concentration in Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP‐ISSEP) desired.
CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor desired
Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
