　　OVERVIEW

　　BlackBerry is seeking an innovative and experienced Cybersecurity Instructional Designer (CID) to join our Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCOE) located in Kuala Lumpur. The CID will hold responsibility for designing and developing engaging cybersecurity learning solutions for CCOE students. The CID will be part of the core Training and Education team based at the centre. The CID will play a key role in the creation of a high-quality and transformative experience for visitors to the CCOE.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Working in lockstep with the Expert Trainers and Training and Education Director the CID will:

　　Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to identify best in class learning solutions based on the latest cybersecurity trends and education needs. These learning solutions will be delivered in-class, online and in live lab environments and include instructor-led as well as self paced learning, assessments, and certifications.

　　Leverage a variety of instructional design techniques to conduct analysis, and create training plans and design documents.

　　Develop, modify, enhance, or customize new or existing instructional materials that are technical in nature and meets the needs of the local audience.

　　Ensure content is accurate and validated through the appropriate review and editing cycles.

　　Measure the effectiveness of training content and programs and proactively adjust curricula as required.

　　Organize and prepare Instructor and Lab Manuals for the practical delivery of training programs.

　　Be accountable for the quality of the learning solutions output.  

　　Actively participate in the Training Steering Committee, by providing insights and recommendations to produce effective outcomes related to training content and delivery.

　　Manage the maintenance schedule for all training materials to ensure they are always up to date and that students of the CCOE are receiving a quality learning experience.

　　Manage ID vendor relationships to ensure that the volume of work is managed appropriately, and training content is delivered on time.

　　ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

　　5+ years of instructional design experience in a cybersecurity or a security-related field with a Masters or 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor Degree

　　Demonstrated application of adult learning principles.

　　Knowledge and application of various instructional design methodologies and techniques.

　　Experience developing effective training materials, including presentations, instructor manuals, lab manuals, participant manuals, storyboards, videos, and simulations (including animation, audio, and graphics).

　　Experience working with Instructional Design & Multimedia Tools such as Articulate, Camtasia and the Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as Learning Management Systems.

　　Experience creating certification programs from scratch ensuring a system that allows participants to demonstrate specific professional cybersecurity competences.

　　Proven ability to work as part of a team, establish and maintain effective working relationships with subject matter experts and internal and external stakeholders.

　　Willingness to embrace change and process improvements to streamline work processes.

　　Exceptional written and verbal communication skills paying close attention to detail.

　　Ability to multi-task and problem solve within a fast paced, high-tech work environment.
