As a Cyber Engineer, you will perform the following duties in support of a Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) network for our DoD client in Saint Indigoes, MD:
• Collaborate with Cyber Security professionals to assess and enhance the network’s security posture
• Compile artifacts in support of ongoing cyber efforts
• Completion of various scans, STIGs, and SRGs
• Remediation and/or mitigation of vulnerabilities
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new IT network equipment and technologies for procurements
• Analyze information technology risks and provide recommendations for improvement
• Implement, maintain, and enforce policies, procedures, IT standards and associated plans for system security administration and user system access
• Develop and recommend inputs to technical documentation to include engineering change requests, network diagrams, test procedures, installation instructions, technical directives, bulletins, and white papers
Training/Degree Requirements:
• Associate degree in Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Information Technologies, or a relevant technical discipline, or in a non-related field with at least five (5) years of relevant experience
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance – minimum CompTIA Security+ CE certification
Must Have:
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance
• Associate degree in Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Information Technologies, or a related field
• Experience with STIGs, SRGs, SCAP, Evaluate-STIG, Nessus
• Background in the configuration and administration of network and systems equipment, to include products from Cisco, Microsoft, and VMWare
• Strong communication and customer service skills
Travel:
• Must be able to travel; position requires 20-30% CONUS/OCONUS travel
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with NIPRNET/SIPRNET, and Type 1 encryption devices
• Install, configure and support misc. customized system solutions including network and security devices and other hardware and software to customer satisfaction
• Experience with local area and wide area networks providing voice, video, and data services; DMVPN, IPsec EIGRP, QoS, NAC, wired VoIP, wireless VoIP, and VoSIP; VLANs; IPv4 addressing and subnetting; firewalls, routers, switches, and IP accelerators
• Experience with Windows 10, Server 2019, DNS, DHCP, WDS, AD, and virtualization
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
Security Clearance Requirements:
U.S Secret Security Clearance required. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.
U.S. Citizenship required.
