CVB Marketing Specialist

Requires successful post-offer completion of a background investigation, physical exam, and drug test (including marijuana/THC) as a condition of employment with the City of Joplin.
Primary Purpose
Research and develop new tourism opportunities, digital media campaigns, special events, and cultural events to increase tourism activity and interest for the City of Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
Candidates MUST BE highly proficient in managing a large advertising budget. Theideal candidate for this position will be experienced in managing large-scale social media accounts and has a background in the tourism industry.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in marketing, Hospitality Management, or related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
Three years of full-time work experience, including administrative support,
marketing, or digital media content development and oversight.
Licenses and Certifications:
Possess and maintain a valid state-issued drivers license.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
Salary and Benefits
Starting at $17.539 per hour ($36,481 annually), depending on experience.
