Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Berkeley, California. As a key part of our team, the successful candidate will provide top-notch customer service, assisting with various events and ensuring a smooth experience for attendees. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with graduation events, including helping students find their seats and organizing student names for their walk across the stage
• Provide exceptional customer service, including ushering attendees and responding to inquiries
• Distribute pamphlets and other materials as needed during events
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently
• Arrive early to prepare for events and log hours accurately
• Adhere to formal dress code and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
• Carry out other duties as assigned
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Resolve customer credit inquiries
• Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction is maintained at all times. Requirements • Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Proven experience in a customer service role
• Ability to handle and resolve customer complaints effectively
• Proficiency in using customer service software and databases
• Familiarity with industry's latest trends and applications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work in a team and independently
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work in shifts if required
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated
• Training in customer service will be a plus
