  Customer Delivery Specialist I Entry Level

  Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, has an immediate need for a Customer Delivery Specialist I to join its logistics team located in (Location). You'll be responsible for providing customer delivery of chemicals. As a DOT driving professional, you'll safely operate a diesel, multi-geared bobtail truck/pup and/or tractor- trailer combination vehicle over congested city highways, rolling and mountainous terrain and rural roads. In addition, you'll provide preventative maintenance of any type of vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants and warehouse locations.

  Safely operate vehicles to include (not limited to) delivery trucks, tank trunks, over-the-road trucksLoad trailers and schedule daily runs to meet customer delivery requirementsMaintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition at all times by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspectionsResponsible for accurate up-to-date delivery location maps, and operates in accordance with DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with homeland security requirements and guidelinesMaintain driver's hours of service by using an electronic logging device and paper log book reportingMaintain regular communication with sales and supervisor in order to report field problems and/or safety hazardsFollow Zero Defect Delivery procedures for all delivery assignmentsWork closely with Nalco's sales team to satisfy customer requirementsWear appropriate safety gear at all times during delivery operationsKeep current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skillsRecognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environmentInside Delivery, "Dock Drop-offs", TLM Maintenance, Hose Replacements, Site Surveys, Loading Trucks, Pre-Trips and Post-Trips, Equipment Inventory and Supply OrderingAs a trusted partner, your customers will rely on you for their success.   Minimum Qualifications:

  High School diploma or equivalentPossess a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)3 years of commercial driving experience3 years of an acceptable motor vehicle recordWilling to travel M-F, home on weekends and holidaysHave the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.Have the ability to do Relief work when neededSafety - Follows all rules/procedures, utilizes Stop Work Authority, Reports all incidentsNo immigration sponsorship offered for this rolePreferred Qualifications:

  Experience operating forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, printers and gaugeExperience handling products in various types of packages including bulk, drums, Porta-Feeds and mini/micro-feed unitsAbility to back straight trucks, semi-trucks and trailers into narrow passages through expensive industrial equipmentKnowledge of equipment, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials.The world's leading providerof water treatment andprocess improvements,Nalco Waterpartners with customers whoseek innovative solutionsfor water and resourceconstraints.
