JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under the direction and supervision of the Director ofFacilities & Grounds, the Custodian performs routine building cleaningtasks. Repetitive manual work requiring efficient performance ofbuilding cleaning and maintenance duties. Under general supervision onroutine recurring assignments. Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes and buffsfloors. Washes windows, doors, screens, blinds, and light fixtures,walls. Climb ladders when necessary. Collects trash, paper and otherrecyclable materials. Cleans restrooms, fills soap, towel and tissuedispensers. Moves furniture as requested. Clean carpet and upholsteryusing power extraction machine. Operates an auto-scrubbing machine toclean and strip floor surfaces. Utilizes a variety of tools and powerequipment. Changes light bulbs. Locks doors and turns lights on and offas necessary. Dusts, cleans and polishes furniture.
