We have an on-site fitness center.Summary:The primary role of the Crane/Forklift Operator is to lead daily department operations, including correctly piling, and planning material flow in and out of the department. This role will also be responsible for moving material safely with a forklift and/or crane as well as setting up furnaces and coolers for appropriate for use. The Helper will be responsible for working with their crew members to ensure work is completed safely, meeting quality expectations, as well as meeting productivity demands. A successful candidate is a self-starter who has a strong work ethic to improve quality and production levels of assigned equipment. Must be willing to train within the department and may be required to cover shifts as necessary. Responsibilities* Safety - involved in promoting and providing a safe working environment for yourself and team.* Ability to work safely and independently.* High attendance rate and dependability.* Ability to lead by example and hold others accountable, coach, train and develop those on their team in basic functions of crane operations and annealing processes.* Identifies that there is a problem and has the capability to use tools and resources to find the root cause and implement a permanent correction action to prevent reoccurrence.* Displays initiative to drive personal, team, customer, and company success.* Works within our Philosophy and takes ownership of mill and crew.* Computer knowledge including basic Oracle skills, basic Microsoft Office experience (Outlook) * Catalyst for continuous improvement - engaged in the transformation process and use the daily transformation tools available.* After successful completion of training, may move to Operator position with pitman schedule.
