Develop and implement chemical manufacturing and engineering solutions for thecompounding of pharmaceuticals using the company's proprietary iCPC(centrifugal partition chromatographic) platform. Confer with clients toassess their chemical processing and molecular separation processes and needsand develop methods and procedures for the purification of activepharmaceutical ingredients using the iCPC platform. Collaborate with researchand engineering teams to conduct case and feasibility studies on theimplementation of iCPC systems. Scale up prior developed benchtop methods forpilot and industrial-scale instruments. Provide pre-sales technical consultingto clients, including CPC separation and process simulations. Preparetechnical proposals for proposed iCPC systems and solutions including thephases, timelines, and costs for implementation. Participate in theimplementation of iCPC systems and machinery and perform post-installationon-site trainings and method implementation for customers. Perform repairs ofpreviously installed machines and document all repairs and alterations made tosystems. Evaluate the results of laboratory tests of industry yield,purity, and solvent recovery/recycling to ensure that iCPC systems deliverthe required purity and performance. Develop engineering solutions to anypersistent issues. Maintain technical reports, notes, and otherdocumentation pertaining to developed iCPC methods and installations. Serve asa subject-matter expert with regards to CPC methods and procedures and providetechnical assistance to customers. Stay abreast of technical advances andindustry trends in liquid chromatography, the pharmaceutical industry, andsafety and environmental regulations.
Requirements: The position requires a Master's degree in ChemicalEngineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related fieldand one year of experience in the job offered or a related position. This canbe substituted with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering,Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related field and five yearsof experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requiresskills and knowledge in centrifugal partition chromatography equipment,method development and optimization of API compounds, CRM, and MicrosoftOffice. The position requires some travel - 50-79% of the time, totaling26 weeks to 41 weeks per year, to various client sites throughout the UnitedStates.
