  DESCRIPTION OF WORKSocial Services Case Aides within our Children and Youth Services Department are a vital part of the organization by assisting children and families. Some duties will include:

  Transporting children and their families to medical visits, family visits, appointments, and much more including locations outside the County limits with the use of a County a vehicle.Activities of daily living.Providing supervision for visitations as needed as well as other duties as assigned.You will work cooperatively in a team environment with other Aides, Clerks, Caseworkers, and Supervisors in an attempt to provide the best possible outcomes for children and families across the County.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employment

  Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  This position requires occasional nights and weekends as needed as well as overtime.

  Depending on the needs of clients, non-traditional hours may be necessary.

  Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
