  DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  This is a position with routine public contact work in the Indiana County Children and Youth Services Agency. You will assist and receive training from professional social services personnel in providing services to children, youth, and families. Work involves scheduling, transporting, and escorting clients to medical, dental, and other appointments. This includes providing transportation to foster homes, court hearings, and recreation as well as providing basic information and contacting clients who fail to keep appointments.

  You will also assist clients and families with everyday activities of living, home maintenance and care and participate in the distribution and delivery of equipment, clothing, and other belongings of clients. Other assistance you will provide includes supervising children during office visits and in crisis situations in the home. Work additionally involves the performance of routine clerical duties and the maintenance and care of waiting and visiting rooms. Join our team and find meaningful work in your community!

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch and the availability to work outside regular hoursSalary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Graduation from high school; orAny equivalent combination of training and experience.

  Legal Requirements:You must pass a background investigation.This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
