Job Description
The Advisor, Cost Accounting reports to the Site Controller, and provides support to plant departments in matters of cost, budget, and inventory control. They also assist in analyzing standard costs and budget variances.
Responsibilities
Monthly financial closing, analysis, and reportingPrepare General Ledger journal entries, analyze and review General Ledger during month-endclose.Variance development and projectionAssist in Annual Budget PreparationMaintain site’s standard costs and analyze budget spending variances.Analyze labor and material variances.Analyze Cycle Counts and Physical Inventory results.Provides support to plant departments in matters of cost, budget, and inventory controlPrepares cost analysis and information for manufacturing purposesPerform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations per corporate guidelines and submit to site Controller for review and signature. May include research of non-standard transactionsParticipate in annual physical inventory.Follow all ISO standards, GMP, OSHA and plant policies and proceduresMaintain fixed asset system as needed including coordination Fixed Asset cycle counts.Maintain AUC Capital spend tracking and forecasting.Track and expedite vendor return creditsValidate cost reduction savings and maintain tracking fileParticipates in monthly forecast requests as needed.Prepares special product costs and reports as requiredMay perform some general accounting duties including:
BPCS vendor setup and maintenance
Maximo invoice reconciliationTrack and report salvage activitiesQualifications
4+ years of experience in related field (Costing or Budgetary) preferredBachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferredAnticipated salary range: $56,900 - $85,365
