The primary responsibilities of the role are:
Follow established safety and security protocols. Work alongside HR andManagement to ensure the safety and security of Ecentrias employees,worksite, and products.
Fulfill duties associated with the post assigned as part of thefacilitys comprehensive security plan; maintain an orderly post andremain at the post at all times unless otherwise directed by asupervisor.
Monitor CCTV and maintain camera logs for review. Report unusualactivity or safety issues to the Supervisor or Manager in a timelyfashion.
Complete proper documentation related to incident reports, shift logsand security paperwork.
Monitor facility grounds and entrances to ensure only authorizedpersonnel and authorized visitors access the facility; if assigned tothe main entrance, ensure all guests follow visitor protocol and triagevisitor requests
Screen employees and contractors with magnetometers entering and leavingthe facility. Check for weapons, indicators of intoxication, andunauthorized persons entering the facilities. On the way out check forconcealed/stolen merchandise.
Investigate suspicious activity, both inside and outside of buildings
Serve as point of contact for police, fire, or medical personnel asneeded.
Engage with visitors, employees, and contractors to maintain a safe andsecure environment. Detect and deter problems before situations becomedangerous.
Actively participate in professional development training to ensureongoing growth and to advance skills.
Conduct new-hire security orientation, ID access badge issuance,programing, locker assignments as directed.
Perform security responsibilities associated with product transfersbetween warehouse and store/other sites as directed.
Flexible with schedule to help cover team vacation time on as needbasis.
Patrol on foot looking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors,open doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits. Respondsto incidents related to safety, security, and personnel issues.
Required schedule: Monday- Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and everySaturday, 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Flexibility in schedule to help cover shifts, as needed to covervacations.
Other security-related duties, as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
Qualifications for the role are:
High school diploma or GED required
1+ years of prior corporate security experience
Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts as requested
Previous experience with technology systems utilized for facilitysecurity (Electronic visitor management, CCTV, Access Control) orrelated experience preferred
Previous experience in law enforcement, corrections, government securityor relevant military or equivalent preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality.
The ability to communicate with others effectively and diplomatically,generally, and particularly in stressful situations.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Must be able to perform position duties outdoors in uncontrolled climateconditions including extreme cold and heat as needed.
Ability to push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, twist, turn, bend, climb stairs, manualdexterity, and walking required, for entire shift duration or up 12hours.
You must be a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic inArms Regulations (ITAR).
