SALARY :
$108,850 to $141,470+ per year depending on rank and experience. The posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan. RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials. Specifically, Faculty salary is determined by these factors as well as Faculty Rank which will be determined by the RVU Rank and Promotion committee.

Primary Purpose
Each Core Specialty Clerkship Director oversees the 3rd year core clerkship in their respective specialty of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Behavioral Medicine or Surgery. This includes oversight of all aspects of the 3rd year core clinical clerkship, including curricular development, delivery and administration of all components of the course. This individual will also be responsible for the pediatrics portion of simulation modules curriculum and assessment.
Essential Job Functions
Develops and oversees all aspects of the 3rd year respective discipline core curriculum including clinical assessment and student performance. Clerkship durations range from 4-8 weeks dependent upon the core discipline over the duration of the OMS 3 academic year.
Designs, implements on a standardized schedule, and sustains a strong didactic component for the core discipline clerkship as a part of the Clinical Education curriculum.
Provides ongoing formative feedback to students, adjunct clinical faculty and Site Directors relevant to their core clerkship, in collaboration with the Regional Directors and Clinical Deans.
Works with the Regional Directors to ensure clinical sites effectively meet the core discipline clinical training standards.
Serves, actively participates and commits to weekly dedicated time for committees and scheduled meetings to improve collaboration, communication and student/preceptor performance.
Serves in a mentoring/supportive role for medical students in career/specialty match advising, scholarship and remediation.
Works in conjunction with Clinical Education leadership in recruiting new adjunct faculty.
Actively participates in faculty development in clinical teaching.
Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Deans or his/her designee.
Marginal Job Functions

Minimum Qualifications
Terminal degree from an accredited institution (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Medical Doctor Degree - DO or MD)
Good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies
Eligible for coverage by college’s malpractice insurer, if applicable
Board Certified in core discipline specialty
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in medical education
Experience in GME
