Based in the Oxnard, California area, this opening for a Controller is a permanent position. The ideal candidate for this position can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Candidates who know how to effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services will do well in this role along with creative types who can lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. 　　Responsibilities

　　Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

　　Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

　　Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

　　Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities

　　Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

　　Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners

　　Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

　　Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

　　Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

　　Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team

　　Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective Requirements - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

　　Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

　　CPA/MBA preferred

　　Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

　　Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

　　Consolidations experience

　　Cost accounting experience

　　Variance analysis experience preferred

　　Budgeting experience required

　　Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

　　Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

　　Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

　　Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

　　Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

　　Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

　　Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
