Description

　　A food manufacturing and distribution company based in Jersey City, NJ is currently seeking a Controller on an interim basis to assist with enhancing and formalize the company's accounting operation. The Controller will partner with ownership to review and assess current state operations, and optimize processes for monthly closes, reconciling inventory, preparing financials, and managing mark-to-market adjustments. The ideal interim Controller will have recent experience working in $25-$60m privately held businesses in the manufacturing/distribution sector, will be savvy with general accounting software, and will possess strong Excel skills.

　　Requirements - Qualified in office and accounting computer systems

　　Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with experience building trusted advisor/consultant relationships and aptitude for influencing Executives and Business Decision Makers

　　Expertise in inventory analysis

　　Monthly Close Processes experience desired

　　Strong familiarity with Inventory Reconciliation

　　Prepare Financial Statements experience preferred

　　Process Improvement Initiatives experience highly desired

　　Professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance

　　Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well

　　Skills to assess process and internal control weaknesses and identify improvements

　　Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field

　　CPA and/or CMA preferredComprehension of ERP system offerings is preferred

　　Prior background in engaging virtually with teams around the globe and providing leadership across finance teams
