　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　The Controller is responsible for the supervision of the Financial Activities and Accounting Department in the hospital. This includes but is not limited to the following: Organizing, directing and supervising accounting staff; staff orientation, education and competency programs; month end closings and both internal and external audits; ensuring financial information and financial reports are consistent with corporate policy and GAAP; Coordinating departmental performance and quality programs; and reviewing and assisting with the preparation of external reports, including AHCA, HFCA, state, federal and local authorities. The Controller is also responsible for all other daily activities of the Accounting Department and performing special projects as directed by the CFO and other Administrative staff.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Bachelors Degree

　　Prefer at least 3 years experience in healthcare accounting

　　Must be knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the use of personal computers.
