You will be instrumental in shaping the day's newscasts and keeping the public informed up to the minute through our website and social media platforms. You will be in charge of keeping the news crews on task, and on deadline. You also will have a key role in writing and posting stories online and on social media. Job Responsibilities: Work closely with the News Director, Executive Producer, and other news team members to build and develop a consistent advance planning system for news coverage and special events. Constantly generate daily story ideas and plan for the future. Lead daily meetings with producers and reporters. Maintain strong local contacts. Assist producers and reporters with story calls, setups and follow through. Coordinate breaking news coverage, crews, and LiveU units. Ability to oversee schedules/gear/vehicles. Work on special projects as assigned. Provide newsroom leadership. You may be required to work overtime, holidays, and weekends. Complete other duties as assigned.
