The Project Coordinator position will work as an integral team-member for the ultimate goal of a successful project. This role will support Project Managers on all projects to ensure smooth operations throughout the construction project, from preliminary pricing to finish and closeout, and provide consistent excellent customer service to clients and trade partners; all while demonstrating Company Values in all business activities.
Responsibilities for Construction Project Coordinator:
Assist project management department in all administrative functions
Support project manager with phone calls, messages, email, scanning, copying, mailing for project management
Assist Project Manager with coordinating submittal packages including change orders.
Assisting PM in ensuring job dates and job status is correct
Assist Project Manager with updating the project schedule, and coordinating and tracking daily/weekly report in Jobs-in-Progress
Assisting in the development and execution of the budget process with Project Manager (PM). Assuring the project is set up correctly as early in the process as possible.
Helping maintain the budget (making any corrections, alert when over budget, etc.)
Participating in internal project kick off meetings
Coordinate Project Manager/Superintendent approvals on subcontractor and vendor invoices within required timeframes and follow up as necessary when disputed invoices occur.
Interface with superintendents and communicate effectively with clients as needed.
Assist Project Manager in filing any corporate presentations and upcoming project plan
Assist Project Manager with city/county building department coordination
Qualifications for Construction Project Manager
Three or More Years of Project Coordination/Construction Background.
Experience with Heavy Job construction software strongly preferred.
Team and Client Coordination: Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
