This position works with asphalt plant personnel, construction personnel, and governmental agencies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (KMI will train/mentor):Perform asphalt testing and analysisPerform aggregate sampling and testingPerform density testing on asphalt pavementsComplete governmental and customer reports for test resultsCommunicate testing results to the plant, construction personnel, and government agenciesInvestigate customer complaints regarding discrepancies between test results and asphalt receivedOther duties as assignedSkills and Abilities (KMI will train/mentor):Strong attention to detailPossess good mathematical skillsKnowledge of asphalt quality control processesExperience with asphalt lab equipmentKnowledge of paving processPhysical Demands:Lifting asphalt samples +/-50 lbs dailyOccasionally requires lifting over 75lbsAbility to stand / walk +/-8 hoursConstruction settingWork Environment:Variable working hoursMust be able to travelMust be able to work nights and weekends (shift differential)Must have reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement program included with position)Qualifications and Experience:ODOT Level 2 or ODOT Level 3 certification is preferred but not requiredHigh School Diploma.Valid driver's licenseKnowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsBenefits:Kokosing Materials Inc. offers a competitive compensation package (including bonus program) based on experience and a benefits package including medical, life, and a 401K plan.Kokosing Materials, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
