Job Title: Construction CoordinatorDepartment: EngineeringLocation: Summerdale
Description of Responsibilities:**
To provide assistance in the oversight of contract crews and other personnel as assigned.To plan, direct, and coordinate construction of electric facilities for the Cooperative, and to ensure that all specifications and regulations are met.To coordinate with staking technicians, engineers, and area superintendent to ensure efficient scheduling of field construction activities as assigned.Be familiar with applicable construction contracts, standards, and safe work practices in order to direct the activities of assigned crews to ensure that the member and Cooperative needs are met and the work is completed as planned.Collect, verify, and compile data and reports related to assigned projects.Monitor jobs in progress through onsite inspections. Assist engineering personnel with completing final inspection of construction.Responsible for assuring proper accounting for all materials charged out and returned for jobs.Assist or fill in for staking technicians and engineers as assigned.Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of seven (7) years experience in construction and maintenance of electric distribution systems. Previous experience directing electric distribution construction activities is preferred.Understand and be able to operate the member information system and material database system.Must know all pertinent regulations and codes related to the electric distribution system, including the requirements of RUS, The National Electric Safety Code, OSHA, and state and county highway clearance codes.A valid driver's license.Technology skills - Office Suite, aided design, and Project Management.Working Conditions:
Position requires working both in an office environment and working outside.
